A modern company with strong roots
In 1980 the first Gebrüder Weiss branch in Germany was opened in Lindau as a part of Austria's largest family-owned transport and logistic service provider. The GW branch in Memmingen was established in 2002 and since 2005 Gebrüder Weiss is represented in Passau as well.Gebrüder Weiss Germany offers its customers a wide range of transport and logistics services for the national and global goods exchange. The branches of Gebrüder Weiss in Germany employ 114 people. It is the joint objective of the employees to provide each customer with the transport and logistics solution, which meets the customer's requirements most efficiently. The company with headquarters in Lauterach, in the Austrian federal province of Vorarlberg, can already look back on a history of more than half a millennium. Despite this long standing tradition, however, the company is thoroughly modern thanks to its cosmopolitan culture, openness for new ideas and to the human spirit of the family business, which has remained unaltered in spite of all the changes and gives the orange organisation its unique identity. This also includes a special awareness of the social responsibility and, consequently, Gebrüder Weiss does not only train apprentices but in the course of an own trainee programme they also prepare able young people for handling executive functions in the future.
