Memmingen - 25.03.2009 00:00:00
Because of last year’s business development and in order to ensure the staff’s future employment, the Maier & Hilbrand Transport OHG Company decided after 23 years to handover the transport company to a strong partner. The operative and strategic integration of the Memmingen family company Maier & Hilbrand into Gebrüder Weiss has already started. All 30 employees will be offered employment: ”I’m pretty sure that the members of the previous M & H teams will quickly become part of GW and their partner companies”, says the former co-owner Thomas Maier. Thomas Maier will reinforce the GW field staff as a transport and logistics consultant after the integration process is completed. ”The opportunities within the strong GW network are ample. I look forward to my new task field and the continuation of my work as customer consultant alike”, he adds. Branch manager Anton Hagg is very satisfied with the ongoing integration process: ”The new GW staff members match well with the existing team”. Maier & Hilbrand and we affiliate with the same quality and service aspirations, creating the perfect initial situation. For the customers nothing changes during and after the conversion. At the same time possible synergies from both the business fields are checked. ”We carefully look at the possibility of meaningful connections. A decisive factor is the added value for our customers”, says the branch manager.
